“The $600K loss wasn’t a failure — it was the most expensive lesson of my career.”

About me

Name’s Tyrelle, but most people know me as Krypto King on YouTube.

I started trading at 19, I’m 27 now — so it’s been a minute. Got in through penny stocks first, then moved into crypto.

My first real bag was Ethereum. I was driving taxis at uni to pay the bills, and a passenger started telling me how much he was making on ETH. That conversation stuck. Bought some, then spent more on a Ledger than I actually had in the portfolio at the time.

Long way from there to here.

Me and GMGN

Love GMGN, and that’s not me being biased — I’ve used every trading platform out there.

It’s the only one where you can trade on basically every chain with real volume, and actually see the data points that matter: holders, smart money flow, limit orders, DCA orders.

That mix of multi-chain coverage + serious data in one place is what keeps me on it.

What I’d complain about

Honestly, no real complaints. All-round it’s solid.

If I had to ask for something, I’d improve social trading — callouts, thesis sharing, that kind of thing.

The trade I remember most

The trade that taught me the most wasn’t a win — it was a $600,000 loss.

This was after the Doge run and before the Trump coin trade. I was running too many ventures at once, wasn’t fully focused, and honestly had too much ego. I wanted to land one massive trade.

I was up about $200K. I actually asked a friend whether I should close it. He said “do what you want”, and instead of locking in, I held with a gambler’s mindset — not a trader’s mindset — and rode it all the way down.

Two lessons came out of that:

  1. Cut losses quickly.
  2. Never DCA into a loser. If the market doesn’t want to buy it, you buying more isn’t going to change anything.

That trade is what made me rebuild how I approach the market.

My biggest change

The biggest change is I now treat trading as a system, not a feeling.

When you first start trading meme coins, you carry this belief that anything can happen — Elon tweets, some catalyst hits, and the chart goes vertical.

That’s true. But it’s maybe 10% of the time. The other 90%, a chart is just a chart. And if you don’t have an edge for that 90%, you’re gambling.

For me, the edge is the Fibonacci framework. I stick to it. Sometimes when I’m streaming or trading live I’ll break the strategy — it happens — but the rule is simple: if that position doesn’t go into profit quickly, I cut it and go straight back to the core system.

That discipline is what turned the Trump coin trade into a seven-figure result instead of another lesson. A million dollars across a few wallets, live on stream, with people calling it fake the whole way through. The conviction held because the system held.

That’s the edge I’m focused on now — something I can transfer to any market, any narrative, any chain.
