Nine Years In, All-In on BSC

@0xBclub came in back in 2017 and has lived on BSC ever since. He trusts on-chain data over hype: Smart Money to find signals, wallet analysis to check they are real. His hardest lesson — the scariest thing isn't losing money, it's being swept up in someone else's emotions.

GMGN User Stories · Episode 11 · A series where we listen to the people on the other side of the screen talk about how they actually trade.

This time it’s @0xBclub — a trader who came in back in 2017 and has lived on BSC ever since. He came from a traditional industry, got pulled into Web3 by the people around him, and went from having to look up what gas even was to trusting nothing but on-chain data.

About me

I’m @0xBclub, an old hand who lives on BSC.

I came in around 2017. Before that I worked in a traditional industry, nothing to do with Web3. People around me were talking coins nonstop, I was curious about new things, and I just fell in. Looking back it’s a little funny — back then I had to look up what gas even meant.

Me and GMGN

I’ve been on it for almost two years now, an early user. Two features I use the most:

  • Smart Money tracking — the core of the core. I basically don’t chase whatever KOL addresses are shouting; I only watch where the addresses that have actually made money in this market are going.
  • Wallet analysis — to check whether an address is genuinely skilled or just putting on a show.

I’ll admit I’m one of the weaker traders, so I need data to back me up all the more.

What I’d complain about

I’ll say it straight: support for new chains and new launchpads is too slow.

Web3 spins up new chains every day, and any project that’s serious about it launches on the new venues to grab attention. But GMGN clearly can’t keep up — by the time it slowly ships support, the chain has already heated up and the venue’s moment has passed. Same as a slow intelligence system: the intel arrives after the battle is over.

A word from the little crocodile: point taken. We’re pushing hard to speed up support for new chains and launchpads — come back and check.

The feature I’d most like to see: a fully automated chain-scanning strategy.

With how far AI has come these past couple of years, I wonder if GMGN has considered it — something that runs “scan the chains + verify against Smart Money + analyze holdings” automatically, tuned to the user’s risk appetite and holding history, so you don’t have to babysit the screen 24/7. Hands fully freed.

A word from the little crocodile: we’re on the same page. GMGN’s public Agent Skill is already out — go play with it: GMGN Agent Skill

The trade I remember most

The snowball run — I got a small result out of it. Honestly there was nothing technical about it; the market was just good at the time. Pure luck.

My biggest change

Mindset.

When I first came in I knew nothing. Every time I thought I’d bought the bottom, there was another bottom below it, and in the end I was the only one left standing there. Then it clicked: in this space, the scariest thing isn’t losing money — it’s being swept up in someone else’s emotions. You panic when others panic, you FOMO when others FOMO, and you always end up taking the hit.

My rule now is simple: I don’t listen to what anyone’s shouting, I only watch the data. If Smart Money hasn’t moved, I don’t move.

Going from “listening for insider tips” to “reading on-chain data” — that shift was beaten into me by the market.

My little GMGN routine

In one line: find the addresses that actually make money, then check whether they’re acting. The two features work together.

  1. Step one, use Smart Money tracking to find a signal. No chasing KOL calls, no group-chat picks. KOLs have an agenda; Smart Money doesn’t — Smart Money only answers to its own money.
  2. Step two, use wallet analysis to verify the signal. An address moving doesn’t mean it’s an opportunity. Go back through its track record: real skill, or a performance for the copytraders?

The point of this flow is the verification, not the tracking. There’s too much fake Smart Money out there — some just got lucky once or twice, others perform on purpose to bait followers. Telling real from fake is the most demanding, and most valuable, step in the whole thing.

One last thing

I may have come in back in 2017, but honestly, on-chain I’ve always been one of the weaker ones. The biggest thing I’ve gained these past few years isn’t how much I made — it’s realizing one thing: the scariest thing isn’t losing money, it’s being swept up in someone else’s emotions.

Markets change, chains change, venues come and go. But as long as I can still see where the people actually putting money in are going, the opportunities are always there.

FAQ

Who is @0xBclub?
@0xBclub is an on-chain veteran who came into crypto in 2017 and has focused on BSC ever since. He came from a traditional industry and was pulled into Web3 by people around him. He calls himself a weak on-chain trader, which is exactly why he leans on data — he watches where Smart Money moves rather than following KOL calls.
Which GMGN features does he use most?
Two. Smart Money tracking to find signals — watching only the addresses that have actually made money — and wallet analysis to verify them, by going back through an address's track record to judge whether it is genuinely skilled or just putting on a show for copytraders.
What is his biggest trading lesson?
Mindset. The scariest thing isn't losing money, it's being swept up in someone else's emotions — panicking when others panic, FOMOing when others FOMO, and getting hurt every time. His rule now is simple: ignore what everyone is shouting, watch the data, and don't move until Smart Money moves.
How does he tell real Smart Money from fake?
Through wallet analysis, by tracing an address's history. There is too much fake Smart Money out there — some addresses just got lucky once or twice, others deliberately perform to bait copytraders. Telling real from fake is the most demanding, and most valuable, step in his whole approach.
