What Is Memecoin Cooking? How GMGN Cooking Connects Ideas to Token Launches

GMGN Cooking is GMGN's token-launch workflow that connects token ideas and trending content to setup, launchpad deployment, and post-launch analysis.

By Updated

Memecoin cooking refers to the end-to-end workflow of turning a meme, social post, community narrative, or trending event into a tradable on-chain token. A launchpad performs the underlying token deployment, while GMGN Cooking connects source review, token preparation, deployment through a supported launchpad, and post-launch monitoring in one workflow. Creators remain responsible for source authenticity, asset rights, and final transaction approval.

What Is GMGN Cooking?

GMGN Cooking is GMGN’s token-launch workflow for turning an idea, X post, trending narrative, or existing token page into a new on-chain token through a supported launchpad. GMGN does not operate its own launchpad; the selected launchpad performs the underlying deployment, while GMGN connects source review, token preparation, launch configuration, and post-launch analysis.

A Cooking flow can begin from four entry points in the GMGN web interface:

  • The main Cooking entry
  • Token Re-launch from an existing token page
  • The Cooking action in X Tracker
  • The Cooking action on selected content in an X post

When a flow starts from an X post or existing token, a selected public image can be brought into the setup interface. However, public availability does not by itself grant permission to reuse that content.

About Token Re-launch: Token Re-launch uses selected public information from an existing token as a reference for creating a separate token. The new token has its own on-chain address and is not an upgrade, migration, revival, or official continuation of the referenced project unless that relationship has been independently verified. Creators remain responsible for the rights to any name, image, logo, trademark, likeness, or social link they use.

GMGN Web Cooking currently supports Four (Four.meme), Pump.fun, Trench, Flap, LetsBONK.fun (shown as Bonk in GMGN), Bags, Clanker, Heaven, and Sugar. Depending on the selected launchpad, available networks include Solana, BNB Chain, Base, and Ethereum. GMGN AI Skills currently provide token-launch workflows for supported launchpads such as Pump.fun, FourMeme, Clanker, and Flap. As of June 2026, GMGN does not charge a separate cooking fee, though the initial purchase amount, network and priority fees, and fees charged by the selected launchpad may still apply. Refer to the current GMGN interface and official Skill documentation for the latest availability.

How Do You Launch a Token with GMGN Cooking?

A GMGN Cooking flow connects the source of a token idea to setup, launchpad submission, and post-launch monitoring in five stages:

  1. Start from a source or token idea. Begin from the main Cooking entry, X Tracker, selected content in an X post, or an existing token page through Token Re-launch.

  2. Bring the source context into token setup. Review any selected public content, then set the token name, ticker (the short symbol, like DOGE), image, and relevant social links.

  3. Configure the launch. Choose a supported launchpad and network, select the dev wallet, and set the initial purchase amount.

  4. Submit and verify the launch. Complete the launch through the selected platform, then confirm the correct on-chain address — a contract address on many EVM chains, a mint address on Solana.

  5. Continue monitoring in GMGN. Review holder distribution, dev-wallet activity, and Smart Money signals, plus migration or graduation status for launchpads that use those mechanisms.

Why post-launch monitoring matters

A May 2025 Solidus Labs report found that about 98.6% of the Pump.fun tokens in its defined sample had less than $1,000 in SOL-denominated liquidity at the time of analysis. The analyzed sample included tokens with at least five trades and excluded those that completed the bonding curve and migrated to Raydium. The figure measures liquidity attrition under the report’s methodology; it does not mean every token in the sample was fraudulent.

The finding does not show that monitoring prevents liquidity loss. It shows why a launch-time check is not enough: liquidity and on-chain activity can change substantially after deployment.

How Is GMGN Cooking Different from a Launchpad?

A launchpad handles token creation and the initial trading mechanism. GMGN Cooking does not replace the launchpad; it connects selected source content to token setup, submits the launch through a supported launchpad, and provides access to post-launch analysis in GMGN.

Launchpad’s Core FunctionGMGN Cooking
Primary roleCreates the token and provides its initial trading mechanismConnects source content, token preparation, launch submission, and post-launch analysis
DeploymentPerforms the underlying token deploymentSubmits the launch through the selected supported launchpad
Platform coverageFollows the chains and launch mechanics supported by that platformConnects several supported launchpads across multiple chains
After launchMay offer its own token page, trading interface, and market dataProvides access in GMGN to holder distribution, dev-wallet activity, Smart Money signals, and migration status for launchpads that use it
Main useLaunching a token through a specific platformConnecting source review, launch preparation, launchpad deployment, and post-launch analysis

Platforms such as Pump.fun, LetsBONK.fun, and Four.meme still perform the underlying token deployment. GMGN Cooking connects them to source review, token preparation, and post-launch analysis rather than replacing them.

When Is GMGN Cooking Useful?

Going directly to a launchpad may be simpler when you already know the token you want to create, the target chain, and the platform you plan to use.

GMGN Cooking is especially useful when a launch begins with an idea or market context — such as an X post, trend, or existing token page — and you want to carry that context into token setup, submit through a supported launchpad, and continue with post-launch analysis in GMGN.

Starting pointTypical use
Main Cooking entryStart from an original or already-defined token idea and configure the launch manually
X TrackerBegin from a trend or account activity found while monitoring X
Selected content from an X postBring selected public content from a specific post into token setup
Token Re-launchUse selected information from an existing token page as a reference for creating a separate token

What GMGN Cooking Supports — and What Remains the Creator’s Responsibility

GMGN Cooking supports the launch workflow, while source authenticity, asset rights, launch parameters, and final transaction approval remain the creator’s responsibility.

Can an AI Agent Launch a Memecoin with GMGN?

Yes — through GMGN AI Skills. In a compatible agent environment with the relevant GMGN AI Skill and wallet permissions configured, an AI agent can help prepare or submit a supported token launch through plain-language instructions. The creator must still review the network, token details, initial purchase amount, fees, wallet permissions, and final transaction before authorizing the on-chain operation.

GMGN AI Skills currently include a Launchpad Stats tool for querying token-creation counts by launchpad, as well as token-launch workflows for supported launchpads such as Pump.fun, FourMeme, Clanker, and Flap. Agents can also combine these workflows with GMGN’s data-query and monitoring Skills for repeatable research and launch preparation. AI cannot verify source authenticity, asset rights, launch safety, or likely market outcomes. Web Cooking and AI Skills may support different launchpads, so refer to the current GMGN interface and official Skill pages for availability.

The Bottom Line

A launchpad performs the underlying token deployment, while GMGN Cooking connects source discovery, token preparation, deployment through supported launchpads, and post-launch analysis in one workflow. It does not replace creator review or guarantee liquidity, graduation, or market demand.

FAQ

What does memecoin cooking mean?
Memecoin cooking refers to an end-to-end workflow for turning a meme, social post, community narrative, or trend into a tradable on-chain token. It covers source review, token preparation, launchpad selection, deployment through the chosen launchpad, and post-launch monitoring — the steps before and after deployment, not just the launch itself.
What is GMGN Cooking, and is it a launchpad?
GMGN Cooking is GMGN's token-launch workflow — it connects trending content, X posts, and existing-token pages to token setup, launchpad selection, deployment through an external launchpad, and post-launch analysis. It is not a launchpad itself: a launchpad provides the underlying token-deployment and initial-trading mechanism, and GMGN connects to external ones rather than running its own.
Which chains and launchpads does GMGN Cooking support?
GMGN Web Cooking offers Four.meme, Pump.fun, Trench, Flap, LetsBONK.fun (shown as Bonk in GMGN), Bags, Clanker, Heaven, and Sugar. Depending on the selected launchpad, available networks include Solana, BNB Chain, Base, and Ethereum. AI Skills also provide token-launch workflows for supported launchpads such as Pump.fun, FourMeme, Clanker, and Flap. Their coverage may differ from Web Cooking and may change over time, so refer to the current GMGN interface and official Skill documentation.
Can GMGN Cooking start from an X post or an existing token?
Yes. A flow can begin from the X Tracker, selected publicly visible content in an X post, or an existing token page, and a selected public image can be brought into the setup. You still need to verify the source and confirm you have the right to reuse any selected image, name, logo, likeness, or social link. Token Re-launch, which starts from an existing token, creates a separate token with a new on-chain address — it is not an upgrade, migration, or official continuation of the referenced project unless that relationship has been independently verified.
How much does GMGN Cooking cost?
As of June 2026, GMGN charges no separate cooking fee, but launching is not entirely free — you still cover the initial purchase amount, network fees, priority fees, and whatever the chosen launchpad charges. No cooking fee does not mean zero total cost.
Can an AI agent launch a token with GMGN?
Yes, in a compatible agent environment with the relevant GMGN AI Skill installed and the required wallet setup completed. GMGN provides AI-assisted token-launch workflows for supported launchpads such as Pump.fun, FourMeme, Clanker, and Flap. Available platforms and workflow types may change, so refer to the current official Skill documentation. The agent can help prepare or submit a supported token launch, but the creator must review the network, token details, wallet permissions, initial purchase amount, fees, and final transaction before authorizing the on-chain operation.
Does GMGN Cooking guarantee graduation or liquidity?
No. Graduation depends on the selected launchpad's mechanics and on sufficient market participation. Creating a token does not guarantee graduation, liquidity, demand, or future value.
